Fox Lake’s Bunny Berigan Jazz Jubilee, 2008

 

The Larry Busch Band is led by Larry Busch and his Trumpet. The band can be found performing anywhere from country clubs, to cruise ships, to service clubs; playing for weddings, anniversaries, parties, or ballroom dance clubs; and always with a danceable beat!

 

Rob Amster is a member of the newly formed Schulz / Hirsch All-Stars.  Rob plays String Bass and lives in Chicago, Illinois.

 

Jack Carr is a member of the Vagabond Reeds.  Recently retired from his Milwaukee “day job” to enjoy more time for music, Jack is in demand as a tasteful and solid drummer.  He has his own “big band” and recently was selected to be the regular drummer with Chuck Hedges quintet.

 

Don Chesebro is a member of the Bunny Berigan Memorial Band.  Don plays the Clarinet and Tenor Sax and comes from Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin.

 

Chuck Chihak is a member of the Bunny Berigan Memorial Band.  Chuck plays the Piano and comes from La Crescent, Minnesota.

 

Steve Clay is a member of the Bunny Berigan Memorial Band.  Steve plays the String Bass and Tuba and comes from Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin.

 

Kim Cuscak is a member of the newly formed Schulz / Hirsch All-Stars.  Kim plays the Clarinet and is from Warrenville, Illinois.

 

Paul Erickson is a member of the Bunny Berigan Memorial Band.  Paul plays the Banjo and Guitar and comes from La Crosse, Wisconsin.

 

Doug Finke is a member of the newly formed Schulz / Hirsch All-Stars.  Doug plays the Trombone and comes from Louisville, Kentucky.

 

Guy Fiorenza is a member of the Vagabond Reeds.  Guy is an acoustic string bassist and has performed with Clark Terry and other distinguished jazz musicians on their travels to the Chicago area. He lives in Rockford, Illinois.

 

Bob Hirsch is a member of the newly formed Schulz / Hirsch All-Stars.  Bob plays the Piano and lives in Sacramento, CA.

 

Rusty Jones is a member of the newly formed Schulz / Hirsch All-Stars.  He plays the Drums and is from Chicago, Illinois.

 

David L. MacGregor  is the leader and founder of the Vagabond Reeds. Dave plays a 1927 Curved Soprano Sax, Clarinet and Bass Clarinet.

Dave is from Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

 

Jack Meilahan  is a member of the Vagabond Reeds.  Jack plays Rhythm Acoustic Guitar and Banjo.  He performs with the Red Rose Band of Chicago and other groups at festivals around the US as well as overseas.  Jack lives in Naperville, Illinois.

 

Brad Pregeant is a member of the Vagabond Reeds.  Brad, who lived in Madison for many years and moved last year to Colorado, is making a return appearance with the Vagabond Reeds.  He is an exciting, terrific, stride style jazz pianist.

 

Pete Runde is a member of the Bunny Berigan Memorial Band.  Pete plays Trombone and comes from Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. 

 

Bobby Schulz is the leader of the newly formed Schulz / Hirsch All-Stars.  Bobby plays the Cornet and lives in San Anselmo, CA. 

 

Harold Smith is a member of the Vagabond Reeds.  Harold is in wide demand as a clarinetist with Chicago, Milwaukee and Madison groups for his creative improvisations and distinctive technique and tone.  Harold is from Beloit, Wisconsin.

 

Rev. Al Townsend is the leader of the Bunny Berigan Memorial Band.  He plays the Trumpet and is from La Crosse, Wisconsin.

 

Tom Wirkus is a member of the Bunny Berigan Memorial Band.  Tom plays the Drums and comes from Onalaska, Wisconsin.

 

This line-up of top notch, nationally known musicians will bring Dixieland Jazz at it’s best to the Bunny Berigan Jazz Jubilee in Fox Lake, Wisconsin on May 16, 17, 18, 2008.
