Fox Lake, WI is going to be the weekend home of Triangle Jazz from Kansas City, Mo. The Triangle Jazz Store will be set up and part of the Bunny Berigan Jazz Jubilee on May 18 to 20, 2012. Approximately $40,000.00 worth of CDs, books and tapes will be available for purchase.

Dick Rippey, owner of Triangle Jazz, will be bringing one of the finest collections of all kinds of jazz music to Fox Lake for purchase. Triangle Jazz has been in business since 1947, providing music to music lovers of jazz. Dick will be moving over 3000 CDs into the Community Center main hall and side room off the ticket table, along with books and music on other types of formats. His prices are the same or cheaper than those in regular music stores and he has recordings of all the favorites. There will also be available the CD’s of the performing bands and individual musicians at the Jazz Jubilee. Dick is completely knowledgeable about jazz music and enjoys visiting with visitors to the Jazz Jubilee. Triangle Jazz has the capability to take charge or debit cards and will even order special items if they are not included in the music store this year. A ticket to the jazz event is not necessary to visit the Triangle Jazz music store and music lovers should take advantage of this opportunity to shop among the “best of jazz recordings” available. Friday will find Dick with a table of some CDs at Mullin’s Drive In from 4 to 6 PM. He will be open at the Community Center before the performance of the Bunny Berigan Jubilee Band at the Drive In at 4 PM and he will have a representation of the music at the American Legion Hall from 6:30 to 10:30 PM.

Copies of the books Bunny Berigan Elusive Legend of Jazz and Mr. Trumpet: The Trials, Tribulations, and Triumphs of Bunny Berigan will also be available. These books, once read, will bring the music to life every time a recording of the trumpet of that great musician, “Bunny” Berigan is heard. They bring a connection to Fox Lake and “Bunny” that will make everyone glad they came to Fox Lake for the Bunny Berigan Jazz Jubilee. One will walk the streets of Fox Lake, Madison, New York and other cities with “Bunny” as they read these books.
